few months ago i was filling online survey. somehow i become a member of Columbia house dvd club. i received a dvd for 5.00 $ charge, so i paid. then right after that i canceled the membership.
now i received a letter that says i have to pay something like 43.00$ because i did not purchase enough orders in the period contract.
i dont know what to do. there is no customer service . it is an 800 numbers with machine.
What can i do ???

Only answer this question if you know columbia house or bmg music, it's a dvd club where you can join and get dvds for cheap prices when you join but you have to pay like 10-15 dollars for one when you fullfill your membership purchases. same as bmg but with music cds.

Just received a dvd and an invoice welcoming me to the Columbia House DVD club.
I never applied to the club - I dont even have a dvd player!!
I tried calling the so called customer service number but cant actually speak to a live person.
What should I do? I would just send it right back to them saying I didnt order ia dvd or join and do not wish to be a member but I feel this wont work and in the end it will effect my credit score.
Anyone had a similar experience with this and what happened?
